Agri-Tech Week: Getting Value from AI in Agriculture

November 4 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Getting value from AI in Agriculture feat

This Agri-Tech Week event will be a presentation by Dr Matthew Smith, Chief Product Officer at Agrimetrics (previously Director of Business Development at Microsoft), exploring what AI is, how agriculture will get value from AI and how the technology will enable “farm to fork” transformation.

The discussion afterwards will  look at how AI is influencing and will continue to shape the future of agriculture in the UK, whilst acknowledging the need to avoid “de-skilling” the farmer.

You can read an interview that Agri-Tech East previously conducted with Matthew, and find out what trends Matthew predicted, and how the digitisation of agriculture will change the industry; then sign up for this event to hear the latest developments in AI, and how we can harness it to improve our farm management.

The event is hosted by Lincoln Institute for Agri-Food Technology (LIAT) Riseholme Campus.  LIAT has expertise in many areas but is particularly well known for its work in robotics.

Its scientists are integrating cutting-edge 3D imaging and automation into harvesting and weeding technologies, while colleagues are investigating the genetic code of food borne pathogens.

2 Basis CPD points will be available for attendees of this event. To book your free place, please email clare (a) knaptonfarming.co.uk.
