Outfield agritech startup work placements summer 2019
The UK produces 170,000 tonnes of apples a year, but can we grow them more efficiently with fewer pesticides and less wastage? Apply for one of our summer internship places now and help build the future of fruit farming.
Outfield is an agritech startup based in Cambridge, UK. We build systems to manage fruit orchards and horticulture crops using drones and image recognition systems, bringing precision farming to high value crops.
Outfield has two positions open for work placements during summer 2019 supported by the Santander Universities SME Internship Programme. You will join the team in Cambridge, developing technologies and systems, supporting operations and carrying out business development. If you have an interest in drones, image recognition, GIS, machine learning, agritech, and early stage startup companies, then this is the internship for you. No previous experience required, training will be provided.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an interest in Outfield’s core technologies, be self motivated, and keen to work in a startup environment. The internship will last for 6-10 weeks during summer 2019 – dates are flexible. You will be required to work on location in Cambridge for at least 3 days per week, and we can help you find accommodation for the duration of the internship if required. Salary will be £320 per week equivalent.
This internship is only open to students in or going into the final year of a degree course, or to recent alumni (graduated within the last three years) of a partner university of the Santander Universities SME Internship Programme. To apply, send your CV and a brief cover letter to email@example.com. No recruitment agencies.
