Bursary application, sponsored by AF

AF is offering the opportunity to attend Agri-Tech East’s flagship REAP conference for the discounted rate of £50 (+VAT) per delegate. We are keen to offer the opportunity to see world-leading speakers and participate in thought-leadership debate about the future of farming and the role of innovation in new technologies. Anyone in the UK who is a grower or farmer, or who is in full-time education in agriculture (or an agriculture-related discipline such as plant science, agri-engineering, environmental sciences etc) is eligible to apply.

Bursary applications must be received by 10th October 2018 - applications received after this date will not be considered. Successful applicants will be informed by 14th October.

As a student, the AF bursary was crucial in enabling me to attend the REAP Conference in 2017. I hoped the conference would provide insight into the latest thoughts and innovations in the agricultural sector, in preparation for applying to, and commencing, a PhD. Needless to say it did exactly that, and networking with scientists, industry, and farmers provoked conversation which I believe helped me in securing a PhD at NIAB/ University of Cambridge.

- George Crane, NIAB
